Our Ministry Teams

"... for the people had a heart and a mind to work."  Nehemiah 4:6

According to our Mission & Vision Statement, we are to reach out to the church body and the community to serve others as Christ directed.  At New Jerusalem, we have developed Ministries and Departments to give each member an opportunity to do just that.

Shown below is our current list of Departments and Ministries, with an understanding that we are continually asking God to show us additional needs and to provide us with the leadership and wisdom to meet those needs.

Men’s Ministry
Gideon's Men - To commit time each month  and gather together as a group of Godly men.  Gideon's Men is designed for men (old and young) that want to become leaders and men of God. Our goal is to meet together once a month for food, fellowship, and a time of teaching, encouragement, and prayer. We will meet the second Saturday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at The Depot, located at 207 Irwin Street in Brooklyn. The meetings will begin at 6:00 p.m. and end no later than 8:30 p.m. It is our intention that these meetings will help men to become better single men, husbands, fathers, and warriors in the army of the Lord. This is not necessarily a Bible study, but a time of growth and maturing. If you should have questions or want more information, please contact Rev. Linn Otto at 517-287-4000.
