Statement of Fundamental Truths |
|
God is the Creator of the universe and all things therein, including all mankind. |
|
God has revealed Himself as the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are united as one Godhead. |
|
Jesus Christ existed in the beginning as the Word of God; was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin
Mary as the only begotten Son of the Father; was crucified, died, and was buried; was raised to life again and
ascended to heaven as our sin offering and intercessor; is the Head of His Church and our soon returning King. |
|
The Bible is the divinely inspired, inerrant, life-changing Word of God. It is our testimony of the revelation
of Christ and our final authority concerning the things of God. (II Timothy 3:15, 16) |
|
Eternal life or eternal punishment awaits each of us at the Judgment based upon our acceptance or rejection
of the atoning work of Jesus Christ. |
|
All mankind has sinned before God. The conviction of sin comes by the work of the Holy Spirit and the Word of
God. Repentance is commanded of God and is necessary for the forgiveness of sins. |
|
Salvation is the free gift of God procured by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is not attainable
through good works or the law. |
|
Water baptism is the direct commandment of our Lord and should closely follow salvation. From the waters of
baptism we should rise to walk in the newness of life which Christ has given us. |
|
The Baptism of the Holy Spirit is for the empowerment of the believers for the work of God. It is a free gift
from God accompanied by the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. |
|
The Lord's Supper serves to renew our covenant relationship with Jesus Christ and to show the Lord's death
until He returns. |
|
The laying on of hands is administered to impart the power, blessing, healing and anointing of God upon our
lives. |
|
God gives spiritual gifts and ministry gifts for our use in building up and maturing the body of Christ.
|

We seek to worship God from a pure heart.
"God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." John 4:24
We seek to worship God with our entire being.
"Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name." Psalm 103:1
We stand to worship out of respect for the Lord God whom we praise.
"Then some Levites from the Kohathites and Korahites stood up and praised the Lord, the God
of Israel, with very loud voice." II Chronicles 20:19
We lift our hands during worship to direct our praise unto God, to signify our surrender unto God, and to express
our desire for God.
"Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord." Psalm 134:2
We clap our hands as a sign of appreciation and thanksgiving to the Lord. At times we voice a shout of victory unto
the Lord.
"Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy." Psalm 47:1
We sing songs with contemporary style music as well as hymns to express our personal feelings of worship and praise
unto God.
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom,
and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God." Colossians 3:16
We use musical instruments and dance as means to express our praise unto God.
"Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise him
with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise
him with resounding cymbals." Psalm 150:3-5
We prophesy as inspired by God to uplift and build up the Church.
"But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort."
1 Corinthians 14:3
We unite our voices in prayer to intercede for the needs of God's people.
"When they heard this, they raised their voices together in prayer to God..." Acts 4:24
We anoint the sick with oil and pray over them in order that the power and grace of God might be released in their
behalf.
"Is any one you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him
with oil in the Name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will
raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven." James 5:l4-15
We bring our tithes and our offerings to the church in honor of what God has provided for materially.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,
says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing
that you will not have room enough for it." Malachi 3:10
"Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion,
for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
"Let everything that has breath praise the Lord..." Psalm 150: 6
